2025 Festival programe

CONCERT 1

"The Light Within"
The 2025 festival opens withThe Light Within: a captivating program featuring sublime melodies and brilliant virtuosity. Starting with Bach’s Concerto for Violin and Oboe which has one of the most beautiful slow movements ever written, the program also features French film composer Thibaut Vuillermet’s hauntingly beautiful Élégie for solo violin, performed by the incomparable Amalia Hall.

Rossini’s dazzling Introduction, Theme, and Variations follows with operatic flair and virtuosic brilliance, performed for the first time by the oboe, whilst Caccini’s timeless Ave Maria radiates expressiveness and luminosity. The program culminates with Mendelssohn’s vivacious String Quintet No. 2, Op. 87, in an exuberant celebration of life.
